Monday, September 14, 1931 Very warm and humid again today with a hard thunder shower this afternoon at about four o'clock. Worked till about 3-30 P.M. then drove up to the new Armory on Goffe Street to start for Woodmont for the New Haven Grays outing on our 115th anniversary. Stopped at Edgewood Ave. and picked up Henry K. Beach, one of our older veterans, then on to Browns Harness Store on George Street and got Charles McClelland and John Gill. Then drove down to the Hotel Pembroke, Woodmont. The members played baseball, cards, and other games till dinner time. A meeting of the First Sergeants Association was also held. Captain Harold N. Dorr of the active company was toastmaster and many guests and veterans were called on to speak. Came home and pinned my anniversary badge on the nightie of Peter Hodges Barker, nearly three weeks old.
