Sudden heat wave struck New Haven today. Thermometer rose to 90°. This is the fourteenth day this Summer that the thermometer has been above 90. This is an all time record for New Haven for previously twelve days had been the record. Met Lewis Chase at Hotel Taft tonight for dinner. Harley joined us and we had a good visit after finishing dinner we walked across the street to the New Haven Green and sat on a bench. It was so hot. I came home on the trolly. Found that Violette and Lota had been here today to see Sarah and Peter. Also Jennie and Betty Beebe. Attended New Haven Rotary Club luncheon today. We again ate in the Ball Room, which was so much more comfortable on such a hot day. I finished ordering both stock and sample reels on No. 1 - No. 2 - No. 3 and 30" Stand Books for 1932.
