So cold today that we had wood fires burning in both fireplaces at home and an electric heater in the bathroom to make it warm for baby. Tonight, I attended a dinner at the Quinnipiac Club, some being the final social event in the old Club House as we move next Monday to our new Club House just finished at Church Street between Elm Street and Wall Street. President George Berger outlined the reasons of the change and told of the club members who had worked so hard to accomplish the fine results. State Attorney Samuel E. Hoyt spoke of the years spent in the old club and of the many men who had been presidents of the club.
