Saturday, September 26, 1931 Rained nearly all day long. This was Woodbridge Fair Day. I had intended going out this afternoon but gave up the idea as the rain continued. We had a salesmens meeting today. Two men from the Creo-Dipt Shingle Co. presented their proposition to us. Tessie called for me at 5-30 and we had dinner at home. I took home samples of nursery papers so that Sarah could choose a pattern for Little Peter's room in their home in St. Paul. I will send it on so that the room can be finished by the time they will arrive. This is our baby Peter's birthday. One month old. It doesn't seem possible that we could have learned to love him so much in a month. Tessie and I dressed up and went up to the Spring Glen Club and stood in the receiving line at the first dance of the Fall season.
