A beautiful day all day long. We got up early and I drove into the office. Cleared up my mail and then came back out home and packed up our bags and prepared to start for Swampscott, Mass. to the 30th District Conference. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Morse called for us and we drove in their car. We left New Haven at 10-30 A.M. and arrived at the New Ocean House at 5 P.M. We went via Middletown, East Hartford, Stafford Springs, to Worcester. We had lunch at the Hotel Bancroft and then continued to Waltham to Swampscott. The Roots, Colvins, and several other people arrived tonight preparatory to the Conclave tomorrow.
