Wednesday, January 6, 1932 Very warm today here in New Haven but raining and freezing in Springfield. Went down to Dr. Scarbrough's this afternoon with Joe Smith and was examined for insurance. Had supper at Calvary Bean Supper tonight then attended a Committee Meeting of four regarding inviting the E.B.C. (Everyman's Bible Class) back to Calvary Church. Committee favorable. Attended mid-week service later. Mr. Blanton spoke on the pope's New Year letter. Rained all day long. Harley went to Springfield on the train.
