Clear and lovely, like Spring here today. Thermometer 56°. Had lunch downtown this noon as I had several errands to do. Our cellar at home has about three or four inches of water in it after the heavy rain of yesterday. Old Dan dug up the pipes out in the yard and they are again jammed full of poplar tree roots. I guess we will have to cut the poplars down. This is too expensive to do every few years. Went out to Violette's to dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Blanton also Mr. and Mr.s Richmond Hodges Curtiss were there. We had a fine dinner. Had a long letter from Tessie at St. Paul. They are all well but are having a blizzard out there.
