Saturday, January 9, 1932 Clear this morning then snow tonight but it didn't amount to much here in New Haven. Busy at the office till noon then I got some lunch and drove to Hartford to Hotel Bond to meet Governor Paul Keiser and his committee on Rotary District Fall Conclave plans. Also Spring Conference program. We spent all the afternoon on the Fall Conclave matter and voted to recommend to the District that we omit the Conclave this Fall on account of the depression. Also voted to recommend financing the Spring Conference out of our permanent funds. Drove in a raging snowstorm. Could hardly see the road. Found about four inches of water in our cellar and an excavation in the driveway so that I had to put our car over in Nettleton's garage.
