Thursday, January 14, 1932 Very warm today. Thermometer rose to 70°, a record for heat in January. People were around without overcoats. I slept till about a quarter of eight after my experience of last night. Went down town this noon on some errands. Had my lunch in Child's. Harley went to Waterbury to the second day of the Master Painter's Convention. I went out to Violette's and had dinner with she and Clayton. Visited with them a while then drove out to Spring Glen Club to smoker. Pretty hot. Girlie Girlie show.
