Cloudy and warm today, with a misty rain tonight. I got up and drove into town. Had breakfast at the Waldorf Lunch then to Calvary Church School. I spoke at the Worship Period and taught my class of men. Attended church service. Mr. Blanton preached on the subject, "What is Protestantism", a powerful and instructive sermon. Went out to Violette's to dinner. Rich and Sally was there. Violette gave me a lovely silk muffler for my birthday, which is tomorrow. We all drove to West Rock Park to see Sally's and Rich new home. It will be most comfortable for them. They are so excited. I came home, changed my clothes, lay down, and slept for three hours. Got up and drove in town and had supper and went to Calvary to church.
