Windy today after a showery night. Hard sore throat this morning. Gargled it with salt and water. Had breakfast at Longley's and had lunch with the New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. Had dinner tonight at Longley's. Worked till about 8 o'clock then came home and wrote letters to "Auntie B.", Lucy Cosby, Alice and Fred Lockwood thanking them for my birthday gifts and greetings. I am expecting that Tessie is leaving St. Paul, Minnesota for home today. If she spends no more than one day in Chicago, then she should arrive home Friday and I shall be so glad to see her.
