Warm and clear. Thermometer stood at 50° on York Street this noon. No cold weather yet or scarcely any snow. Had breakfast at Longley's and lunch at P. Ring's. Out to Larry and Aletha Stone's to dinner. Mrs. Knapp and Susan Knapp from Greenwich there. I ahve such a hard cold that I can scarcely speak. Tessie left St. Paul last night, arriving in Chicago this morning. Will spend the night with Edna Crittenden Hull at Oak Park then start for home tomorrow. Shall be so glad to have her home again.
