Rained all day again today. I urged Tessie to take a "sleepover" this morning. She was so tired after her long journey home from St. Paul. I had lunch at P. Ring's. Tessie called for me at the office at six o'clock. We stopped at the market at Spring Glen and bought supplies for tomorrow. We had a happy little dinner together here at home. Glad to be at home and to have each other. Tessie wrote to Sally tonight and I mailed it at the box at High Lane. President Hoover has appointed Charles G. Dawes president of the government's "Reconstruction Finance Corporation", a two billion dollar momentous government agency to bulwark American business and public confidence. President Hoover signed the bill tonight.
