We got up early this morning and had breakfast and Tessie took me in town to Calvary Church as my class at Calvary had invited the Everymen's Bible Class to visit us today. They came with their orchestra, song books, song leader, and speaker, and almost fifty men. Attend church service. Sat with Clayton and Violette. Held a short meeting of our nominating comm. at the close of the service. Tessie called for me after her service at St. Paul's Church. We took Lilly Peck and Mr. Graner home. We had dinner here at home and it did seem good to have one of Tessie's dinners again. Mrs. Knapp, Aletha, the children, and Dot Stiles called this afternoon and brought us a beautiful basket of fruit as a Christmas gift. Mr. Thomas Richardson called and talked over matters of Calvary Church School with me. A beautiful day. Thermometer nearly fifty.
