Cloudy and rainy today. Tessie took me in to the office. Dr. Crowe called to report to us on Mrs. Wood's condition. She has the "flu" and is very ill. Harley and I had lunch with Mr. Matlack of the Geo. D. Wetherill Co., at the Hotel Taft. Tessie met me at the store and we went out to Mr. Chamberlain's house and attended the funeral of Mrs. Chamberlain. Dr. Scoville of Trinity Church officiated. The flowers were lovely. We went to the cemetery with our own car. Tessie feels her loss terribly. They were very fond of each other.
