Friday, February 12, 1932 Rain and fog all day long. I had Polly Knapp come in to the office today and help me catch up on the work that has been running behind since Mrs. Wood has been ill. She is such good help. Went downtown this noon and bought some Valentines. Sent one by air mail to Sally. Also mailed one to Violette, Tessie, Aletha, Nancy, and Helen Beckley. Tessie called for me at six. She had been out and called on Mr. Chamberlain on Norton Street. Poor man is trying to bear up splendidly. We had dinner at home and I spent the evening studying the book "The History of Jesus" to talk to my men next Sunday.
