Thursday, February 18, 1932 Clear and cold today. Busy at the store all day finishing up our Wall Paper inventory. "Polly" Knapp is helping me in Mrs. Wood's absence. Mrs. Wood is dreadfully sick. Harley and I lunch at Hotel Taft with Mr. Barnham of the Billings - Chapin Co. Tessie drove over to Madison today and brought Mrs. Knapp home. Mrs. S. Frank Chamberlain's will was offered for probate today and among other bequests, she left five thousand dollars to Sarah. How kind of her to remember our daughter. She has always been so kind to her. This bequest comes to Sarah on the death of Mr. Chamberlain.
