The whole world was shocked this morning when the morning newspapers announced to the world that the twenty months old son of Col. and Mrs. Charles A. Lindbergh had been kidnapped sometime between 7-30 and 10-30 P.M. last night from their home at Hopewell, N.J. No clues have been gathered all day long and no demands for ransom has been made. The Colonel is ready and willing to pay any amount to get their baby back. Messages of sympathy have come to them from England, France, Japan, and many other places the world around. Tessie took Violette down to see Aunty "B" today. Aunty is quite poorly. Alice Drew is taking out to Harry's at Syracuse, N.Y. I had supper at the church then acted as moderator at a church meeting to adopt the budget for next year.
