Saturday, March 12, 1932 Clear and quite cold all day long. This is the anniversary of the big blizzard of 1888, forty four years ago. I remember it well. I was living with Aunt Lucy then in Westfield, Mass. Walter Smith finished making our Sample Books today. Nearly a four month's job. I worked till nearly six o'clock. Went downtown and called on Merrill Jenkins, who has just moved his store from Chapel St. to the corner of Church and Elm Streets. Met Den Chapman in there and he brought me out home.
