Monday, March 14, 1932 Very cold and windy. Snow squalls this afternoon. Tessie and I drove in town this morning, she to keep a dentist appointment and me to the office. At about ten o'clock, I left and drove to Windsor Locks, Conn. and spoke before the Rotary Club there. I then went on to Springfield store. Worked there till about four thirty and then drove home. Had dinner here. Newspapers report that Ivar Kreuger, famed as the Swedish Match King, of Sweden committed suicide in Paris yesterday and George Eastman did the same thing today.
