Tuesday, March 29, 1932 Clear and cool. Attended luncheon of New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. Then went up to Beecher, Bennett, + Lincoln's with Carl Northrup to attend the funeral of Francis Wiley, one of our very faithful scout workers, age 74, who, being ill but one week, died of pneumonia. Down to Calvary Church to supper and a meeting of the mens club. We had a good program and a good time. Took a walk after the meeting then went to the Shubert Theatre to wait for Tessie, who was there to see the Mikado, a guest of Maude Carleton Smith. I went in to the theatre and saw most of the last act. It was a fine company. We took Mrs. Smith home. Stopped on the way for some soda.
