Showers this morning then cleared up nicely. Started this morning for Springfield store. Frank Behling with me. Went up beyond Southington about four miles. Had a sticky valve. Stopped at a garage and had to leave the car there and proceed by bus. Took a bus to Plainville, thence by trolly car to New Britain. Bus again to Hartford. Got a quick lunch at the Hartford station then went on to Springfield by bus. Mr. Page and Mr. Fitch both out on the road so we again had to go to Westfield by bus. Mr. Pomeroy took us back to Springfield. I caught the 6-30 train for home. Got dinner on the train. George Hyde had gone up to Southington and brought my car back to the house so Tessie met me at the station. I went up to the Spring Glen Club to a board meeting. This is the thirty fifth anniversary of our engagement.
