Wednesday, April 13, 1932 Got up at six o'clock this morning and drove in to the Hotel Taft, New Haven, and had a seven o'clock breakfast with Wallace Journey, a man from the Chicago office of Rotary International. This forenoon, I drove out to "Polly" Knapp's and took out the stamps for Gray's notices. Had lunch at Pat Ring's then called here for Tessie and drove to Meriden and called on H.M. Chittenden Inc. Brought Tessie home and then went in to Calvary Church to supper. Then presided at the first meeting of the church nominating committee.
