Thermometer down to freezing this morning. Tessie took me in to the office. I had lunch at Pat Ring's. We had a conference with our outside salesmen and they volunteered to contribute one day's pay each week as a means of cutting down our overhead. We appreciated this evidence of their loyalty very much. Closed the store at five o'clock. Came home on the trolly car. Spent the evening preparing to teach Mr. Charles T. Lincoln's church school class at Calvary tomorrow.
