Hot again today. Took the trolly in town this morning. Got breakfast at Longley's. Went to the barber shop then Harley and I took the ten o'clock train for New York. Took a fifth avenue bus to the Hotel Pennsylvania and met Mr. Matlack of the George D. Wetherill + Co. Had lunch in his room then we had a long and somewhat stormy session over the financial situation. We came home on the five o'clock train, arriving home at seven. Franklin met us and took me up to the store. I worked a while, got some supper, and came home.
