Tuesday, April 26, 1932 We got up at six o'clock and drove into the store, looked over our mail hurriedly, then dashed down to the station with Harley and caught the eight o'clock train for New York and Philadelphia. Arrived in New York, walked over to Fifth Avenue, took the bus to the Pennsylvania Station, caught the eleven o'clock train for Philadelphia. Mr. Matlack, we had lunch together at the station, then went over to Mr. Hawke's office and had an all afternoon conference on the condition of our business. We left Philadelphia five P.M. Arrived in New York in a pouring April shower. Got some supper in Thompson's Restaurant. Came home on eight o'clock train. Alice and Tessie were waiting for us at the station.
