We woke up in Alice Drew Lockwood's lovely guest room at Norwalk, Conn. We had breakfast at eight thirty then Alice and Tessie drove down to Stamford and Fred and I did some errands down town. Later, I drove out to Fountain Inn and had lunch with the Norwalk Rotary Club. Then I hurried back to Alice's and got Tessie and we came home. I stopped off at the store and Tessie came home. She called for me at six o'clock and we went down to the First Congregational Church of West Haven to a big supper, the guests of Don and Flossie Stirling. Stopped at their house on the way home.
