Tuesday, May 3, 1932 The expected frost predicted last night did not materialize. The thermometer went down to 40° however. I got up early and drove in to town to reach the store at 7-30 A.M. This is the first day of our plan to have each of our employees take one day off each week at their own expense. Attended Rotary luncheon of the New Haven Club at Hotel Taft. Musical program as it is "Music Week". Home to dinner tonight and spent the evening painting Sarah's crib so as to have it ready for her baby Peter. Tessie is busy getting the house ready for their coming.
