Sunshine and shadow today. Only slight showers. In to the store early this morning. Newspapers today report the death of Colonel Norris G. Osborn, editor of the Journal-Courier, one of Connecticut's leading journalists and statesmen. Had lunch down town today at Waldorf Lunch. Tonight, went down to the church to supper and the annual meeting of the church school. Mr. Thomas F. Richardson was again elected superintendent. I came home on the trolly car. Mrs. Knapp at the house with Tessie. I walked home with her. Paul Doumer, President of France, was assassinated today by a Russian fanatic in Paris. He lived almost twelve hours after being shot.
