Sunday, May 8, 1932 Did not go to church today. Arthur Chambers taught my mens class. After breakfast, we drove in town, picked up Ruth Chandler, and drove over to New London. Had dinner with Robert and Midge Chandler and enjoyed Bobby Jr. too. We went over to Al and Lena Colvin's to supper and had a nice visit with them. Henry, their son, played for us on the piano and cello. We started to drive away and found that our car would not operate properly (found out later that a valve was broken). So went back to the Chandler's, left the Packard there, and borrowed their "Hup" and drove home, bringing Ruth Chandler with us. Arrived home just twelve o'clock D.S.T.
