I got up feeling very tired. Drove Bob Chandler's car in town and up to the Hup Service Station and had the brakes adjusted. Left the office about 3-30 P.M. Called at the house for Tessie and drove to Northampton, Mass. to the fifth anniversary of the Rotary Club. Tessie, Lena Colvin, Stella Dodge, and Portia Keiser had dinner together nearby. While we had our big dinner at the Hotel Northampton. Former District Governors Al Colvin, Allan Bagg, Jim Gunn, Dick Dodge, and myself were in attendance, also Governor Paul and Bill Root. Rev Dr. Gilken of Springfield made the address of the evening and he was wonderful. Went out to drive home and a flat tire on the little Hup. Had it repaired and came home, arriving about one o'clock.
