Tuesday, May 10, 1932 Again drove Bob Chandler's little Hup in town. Filled it with oil and gasoline. Attended luncheon of the New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. George Bassitt spoke on the "Young Mens Institute". He was most interesting as he always is. Left the office about three o'clock. Came out home and got Tessie and we drove over to New London to get our Packard. Stopped at the Chandlers. Bob went with me to the Packard service station, found our all ready. The Chandlers insisted that we remain and have dinner with them, which we were very glad to do. Later, the Colvins came over to see us. We drove home, a beautiful moon light night.
