Saturday, May 14, 1932 Warmer today. Hard thunder showers in center of city only. Papers still full of the Lindbergh case. The whole world is so wrought up. No one can think straight. Colonel Lindbergh viewed the little form and identified as his baby. He then had it put in a plain oak coffin and had it taken at once to the crematory. He did not leave it till all was finished. he then returned to his dear wife, who had been put to bed by her doctor. Tessie called for me at six and we went out to the Edgewood Club for supper and the annual meeting. I presented the bowling prizes to both men and women. Visited with the Jacksons and Stirlings and other friends.
