Tuesday, May 17, 1932 Very warm again today up to this evening when a sudden drop in temperature became evident. Got up at six o'clock, drove in town to the office, then over to the Commercial High School to sit on the platform while Cameron Beck of the N. York Stock Exchange spoke to the students. He gave them a great talk. This noon, he spoke at our Rotary Club luncheon. I took Mr. Blanton with me. Tessie called for me tonight and worked till dark digging up dandelions from the lawn. I ate my supper then went down cellar and painted dahlia sticks till ten o'clock. We received a letter from Sarah today. They are now in Mason City, Iowa with the Barkers. Will leave tomorrow for Chicago and then home. We shall be glad to see them all.
