A beautiful day all day long but still cool. We have our furnace fire still burning. We received a night letter from Sarah and Peter, dated Westfield, New York, telling us they expected to reach Stockbridge, Mass. tomorrow at three P.M. asking us to meet them. My, it makes so happy to know they are so near home and we are to see the baby so soon again. Drove into town this morning. Attended Calvary Church School and Church Service. Mr. Balnton preached another one of his fine sermons, "Christianity and Communism". Spent the afternoon carrying out our boxes of dahlias, ready for planting on Memorial Day. Hope Peter will help me as he did last year. Peter, Sarah, and little Peter arrived tonight, having driven from Westfield, N.Y. 472 miles.
