Monday, May 23, 1932 Peter, Sarah, "Little Peter", and Peggy arrived last night at about 11-30 P.M., having driven all the way from Westfield, New York to New Haven, a distance of 472 miles. This was the last lap of their motor trip from St. Paul, Minnesota to New Haven and we are mighty glad to have them with us. Our grandson is just wonderful. The most wonderful of course. I took the car in town this morning and tonight went up to the Armory. met the State Guard Group of Grays and we all drove out to North Haven for our annual State Guard party. We had a fine attendance of our own men. We had Capt. Don, Lieuts Moyle and Lute of the Active Company as our guests. After the dinner and program we went downstairs and bowled till midnight.
