Wednesday, May 25, 1932 Another fine day and very hot. Went into the office and found that Mrs. Wood was not taking her day off today, having changed with Miss Radcliffe. So I decided to go to Springfield. Peter brought the car in to me. I took him back on my way. Very hot in Springfield. Peter and Sally went over to East River to see Aletha Stone an the children. Alice Drew Lockwood and Fred came up from Norwalk today to see Little Peter. Fred is very worried over the Norwalk Bank situation. Peggy went in town to the movies. Ed and Alice Cole came to see Sally and Peter. I finished first coating our dahlia sticks. Peter has promised to second coat them with green paint ("Oh joy").
