Monday, May 30, 1932 Store closed all day today. I got up fairly early and put out the flag then started on my annual job of planting our dahlia bulbs. Peter helped me a whole lot and by sticking to the job, we got the whole 113 hills finished by 5-30 P.M. We had breakfast, luncheon, and supper here at home. Last year, there were four of us. This year, we are five and darling little Peter is the welcome fifth. He has been such a happy boy today out in the yard most all day with us other men. Pete and Sally took him down to call on Miss Evarts today and, of course, to get her approval of him. She approved. The weather has been ideal. A warm sun but not too warm and beautifully clear. We took some snapshots of the baby. Hope they come out good.
