Wednesday, June 1, 1932 A beautiful summer day, really bearing out the old question "What is so rare as a day in June". Commencement Day for the Gateway at the First Baptist Church at eleven A.M. Mother and I attended. Also Sarah, who was back for her tenth reunion. Dr. James Gordon Gilkey of Springfield made the address. Sarah also attended the alumnae luncheon at Race Brook Club. I had supper in town then went down to Calvary Church to a special business meeting and prayer meeting. We amended one clause of the constitution to clarify our election of the annual meeting. Peter went down to New York with Mr. Strickland. Sarah and Baby Peter are with us.
