Tuesday, June 7, 1932 Terrific shower this morning then a heavy drop in the temperature. The high school children going to school got soaked. Attended meeting of the New Haven Rotary Club at Hotel Taft this noon. Prof. K.S. Latourette of Yale was the speaker. He spoke on China and Japan. Attended the final meeting of the membership committee of the N.H. Rotary Club at Don Adams' office at 5-15 P.M. Arthur Nabstedt, our new president, sat in with us. Peter drove his Ford in for me tonight and we all had dinner together. Sarah and Peter went down here on Ridgewood Ave. to Aletha Knapp Stone's and borrowed a gate to put at head of stairs here to prevent Peter from falling.
