Still cool but clear and sunny up to afternoon. Then rain set in and it rained all evening, much to the relief of the parched ground. This was Children's Day at Calvary Church and our program was put on at the eleven o'clock hour. Mr. Blanton cooperating by giving over his preaching service to us. The children did so well under Mrs. Palmer's direction. We had dinner at home. Sarah and Peter still up in Vermont. I had a fine chance to visit all afternoon with little Peter. He is so dear. Late afternoon, Paul and Portia Kieser and the two girls stopped on their way over to Crescent Street. We were glad to have a little visit with them.
