Monday, June 13, 1932 Rained practically all day today and we needed it badly. No news today of what the Mechanics Bank will do about resuming business. We had a letter from Sally today from up in Vermont. They expect to be home tomorrow. We had to have fireplace fires downstairs in the dining room this morning to keep Little Peter warm and upstairs in the living room to keep us comfortable. The National Republican Convention opened in Chicago today. It looks as though Hoover and Curtiss would be the nominees. The big fight will come over Prohibition.
