Sunday, June 19, 1932 A beautiful Sunday after a week of rain and clouds. Went in town to Calvary Church School. "Promotion Sunday" classes promoted to the several departments. Mr. Richardson, superintendent, gave out the diplomas. Attended church service. Mr. Blanton preached a marvelous sermon. We had dinner at home. Mother, Sally, Peter, and Little Peter, and me. We rather expected the Newells down from Springfield but for some reason or other they did not come. Peter and Sally went for a short drive so I looked after Little Peter out on the lawn in his little pen. So cool tonight that we had our supper upstairs in front of a fireplace fire.
