Friday, June 24, 1932 Very cool today and a high wind. This is boat race day at New London. The high gale forced the postponement of the Freshman and J.V. Races of this morning for two hours. Then, instead of rowing them two miles up stream, they were rowed a mile and a half down stream. Yale won the Freshman and Harvard the J.V. Tessie and Sarah took little Peter down to see Auntie B. today. She was so very glad to see him. They found her pretty well. Well, what a surprise. All sportdom was expecting to hear of a smashing Yale victory in the Yale-Harvard Varsity event when Harvard supposedly for inferior crew won by three full lengths. Not so good. In ninety years, this is the first time that Harvard has won twice in succession.
