Tuesday, June 28, 1932 Very hot again today but the air is clearer so easier to stand. Went in on the trolly car this morning as the old Packard was left on York Street locked up tight and could not be unlocked. George Hyde took the door off and released it. Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft. President Edgar Heermance turned the gavel over to our new President Arthur Nabstedt. Attended a meeting of the membership committee at the Graduates Club at 5-15. Had dinner at home and spent the evening hoeing dahlias and watering the lawn and flowers. We miss Sarah and Baby Peter so much. They are down at Norwalk with Cousin Alice Drew.
