A glorious day, clear and a fresh breeze flowing. Not too warm. We got up and had breakfast and while Mother and Sally put up the lunch for us and proper food for Peter, I packed into the Packard all the "properties" that a rising young "producer" would need for a few "one night stands" and drove up to Stockbridge to visit the husband and father. We went up the College Highway as far as Avon. Stopped there and fed Peter at Mrs. Buckingham's then drove on to a nice woodsy spot in New Hartford and ate our lunch picnic style. We again packed up and continued through Winsted, Otis, New Boston, Lee, to Stockbridge. Found Pete and Buddy and Roy, etc, etc, all waiting to install them. Sally and Peter in the "Slaughter House" for an apartment. Mother and I came home making the ninety miles in 2.5 hours. A very happy day.
