Very warm today till tonight when a breeze sprung up and cooled it off a bit. Tessie kept the house closed up all day so that it was fairly cool. I drove into church at Calvary. Mr. Binkley preached. He had a fine service. This is Mr. Blanton's first Sunday away on his vacation. I brought Dorothy Graner out to Spring Glen on my way home. I watered the garden and lawn tonight. Things are so dry. We had supper out of doors under the big hickory tree. It was a jolly picnic. I took little Peter for a long ride in his stroller this afternoon. He was so good. I do love him so. Newspapers say today was the hottest day of the year. So far 90° official.
