Tuesday, July 12, 1932 Again clear and hot. Took the Packard in town this morning. Took care of my mail. Went to the barber shop, got a hair cut and shave. Got my lunch at Longley's and drove out home here, got Tessie and our bag, and drove up to Turners Falls, Mass. to attend their tenth anniversary party of the Rotary Club. Elizabeth Root came over with Bill and she and Tessie got Ruth Gunn and went over to the Weldon Hotel for dinner. We then went over to Cabots Camp and had the outing and dinner. It is one of the most beautiful spots I ever saw. We went back to the Gunn's and the prevailed on us to stay all night, which we were very glad to do as we were very tired and we were so happy to spend a little time with them.
