Wednesday, July 13, 1932 Awoke in the home of Jim and Ruth Gunn, Turners Falls, Mass. A heavenly morning and a beautiful spot. We had breakfast with this delightful family. We visited after breakfast then packed up and bade our friends goodbye. Drove down to Northampton and the Springfield store. Called on our customer, J. Hugh Pierce, in Northampton and we had lunch at the Hotel Kimball. Tessie did some shopping. Then we drove down home. Stopped at a roadside stand and bought the first green corn of the season, much to Sally's delight. Sarah had put Peter to bed but he very obligingly woke up so that we could have a visit with the precious boy.
