Saturday, July 16, 1932 Another day without rain. The sun shone brightly all day long. Quite warm till evening then it turned cooler. Peter came down from Stockbridge. Arrived about two A.M. He had breakfast with us. Drove down town, took little Peter with him, then took Sarah back to Stockbridge with him. Grandma and Grandpa Hodges are to have the rare joy of taking care of Little Peter. We will try not to spoil him. We closed the store at one o'clock today. Most wholesale stores are closing. All retail stores are keeping open this Summer, closing neither Wednesday or Saturday afternoons.
